Interiors of the house are spectacular with a marble and mahogany hallway and period ceramics, silverware and furnishings on display. Art lovers will love the superb collection of paintings with works from El Greco, Goya, Blake and Murillo, amongst others.

Pollok House is currently undergoing some external maintenance which is expected to continue until August 2016. The property will remain open throughout.

For conservation reasons, some of our paintings including works by El Greco, Goya and Blake have been removed from the house. These works can be viewed by appointment at Glasgow Museums Resource Centre.

Take a look around the servants quarters and you will see the grand scale effort that was needed to keep such a large family home running. Look for the photograph of the Victorian servants and count the number of people required to keep things running smoothly. If you visit at the weekend staff and family members dress in period costume giving an entertaining glimpse into what life was like in the Victorian era.

There is an award winning Edwardian Kitchen Restaurant on site serving such culinary delights as home made soups and baking. There is also a food shop in the housekeeper's room.

"Escape the Past" is a live escape game for 2-5 players based in Glasgow’s opulent Pollok House. You have just 60 minutes to look for clues, solve a series of puzzles and complete challenges in order to thwart the Butler’s devious plans. Very entertaining !

A visit to Pollok House can be easily combined with the nearby Burrell Collection and other sites within Pollok Country Park including the old stable courtyard, the walled garden and glasshouses, and the woodland and riverside walks.

The Christmas celebrations at the house are renowned as being magical. There are also regular antiques fairs and other events going on regularly and also special children's events.
