You can enjoy an afternoon exploring and discovery the hidden treasures and castles dotted around Aberdeen why not try a trail finder and get a more detailed picture of the history of the city. There are over 15 castles and you will a treasure hunt style of map available to enjoy!

If you are perhaps looking for something to keep the children amused why not try a visit to Storybook Glen, just 5 miles from the city centre you can get their via your own transport or bus. This fun children's are is well laid out and has a wonderful selection of characters and adventures to be enjoyed.

The Lemon Tree is another great venue with many activities including live music and children and family entertainment with puppet shows running daily and comedy and theatre performances throughout the day and night. Duthie Park Winter Gardens is one of the best known public parks in Aberdeen. The park is an immaculately kept area and houses many attractions besides it's fantastic greenery. These include a Japanese garden, a water feature, The Victorian Corridor that has almost 70 hanging baskets and a great range of many species of cacti also.

Whisky lovers will want to head straight for Moray, there are eight distilleries scattered around offering a unique taste of the famous Scottish drink. As well as enjoying the tantalising tastes you can also take in the spectacular scenery on your journey.
