Inveraray is a town in Argyll and Bute at the head of Loch Fyne. It was founded in the 18th century by the 3rd Duke of Argyll, head of the Clan Campbell. Inveraray Castle, only a short walk north of the New Town, is still the family residence of the Dukes of Argyll.
Also renowned for great food and hospitality, amazing scenery, visitor attractions, festivals and great accommodation, Inveraray is the perfect place for everyone. Picturesque and historic, the town boasts Scottish Georgian architecture with white washed buildings and black window casings. Also a gateway to the Highlands and Islands, Inveraray offers a great base for day trips.
